I found a tailor in Phakding which is a village about 30 minutes from the Monastery and they can make warmer jackets for the little monks. A bit pricier than if I would have ordered it from Kathmandu but the good things are that I can see the jackets on site, the children will get them before I leave and the best thing of it all – the children could all come down with us to get measured. Wanted the children to walk 2 and 2, you know, the way you walked in a line when you were a little kid?
And they did – holding hands. Even the oldest ones. When I saw this I literally didn’t know what to do with myself because it was just so freakin’ adorable.
