Yesterday, I was trying to explain to the boys that they should brush their teeth before beditime (this is not something they do). This morning I heard that they had been raving like chickens and used their brushes AND toothpaste. Today before lunch, I taught them to wash their hands. They R A N to get in line and washed their hands, thouroughly. So adorable, and I have no words to describe how I felt in that moment.
Besides that, I held a class for Lopon La and two other adult monks. We practiced listening comprehension and pronunciation. They needed to gesticulate quite a bit, and use their body as a tool in order to pronounce certain words. They laughed a lot as I assume it may have been some unorthodox strategy to learn a new word.
I am still awaiting a response from IFRE’s manager regarding my proposal . I am guessing that he is very busy, albeit I am wondering how many more days I shall be patient.
